Senior Recruitment Consultant at Intelletec, USAIntelletec Energy are supporting a successful boutique solar & storage developer to hire for a Financial Analyst, to support the evaluation, financing, and execution of utility solar projects (50-400MW).
We're looking for someone who has 1-5 years experience in a finance or investment role and ideally has at least a year's experience working in renewable energy. You will join a team of industry renown leaders in a small company where your role will have genuine impact in business direction. In addition, they offer an 11% 401k match as well as top of the market medical benefits.
The office is based in Newark NJ, and the candidate we choose to hire will come on site 3 days a week (most of the team commute from NYC).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models and valuations for utility-scale solar projects.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of potential project acquisitions, new development opportunities, and external business ventures.
- Support construction debt, term debt, and tax equity financing transactions.
- Assist in the execution of financing transactions, including investor diligence, deal structuring, and closing processes.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with investors, responding to diligence requests and preparing investor-facing presentations.
- Develop memorandums and presentations that clearly communicate financial evaluations, key assumptions, and strategic recommendations.
- Work closely with development, construction, and asset management teams to provide financial and risk analysis.
- Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and investor presentations.
- Research and develop business cases for emerging market opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Develop and manage accurate budgets aligned with departmental and business unit plans.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in renewable energy, investment banking, project finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuations, and risk assessment.
- Experience with project finance, tax equity, and capital markets is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, high-performing team.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively and manage transactional deal flow.
