Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in the Middlesex County, NJ area. In this role you will be responsible for AP and AR functions, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, month end close, and more. If have 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, this might be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records

- Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing reports and verifying account balances.

- Input financial data with precision and maintain organized records.

- Utilize Accounting Software to record and organize financial data.

- Utilize Excel for advanced functions and formulas to manage financial data efficiently.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

- Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas and advanced functions.

- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and reconcile accounts effectively.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to think beyond routine tasks.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to collaborate within a team and communicate effectively.

- Prior experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
