DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Finance Manager Commercial Excellence Cross Platforms. This position has preferred locations in West Chester, Pennsylvania and Raritan, NJ consideration will be granted for any other Orthopaedics location in the US (New Brunswick, NJ, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN or Palm Beach Gardens, FL).

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Overview

The Finance Manager Commercial Excellence Cross Platforms, is responsible for financial planning and analysis across multiple budgets spanning different business groups. This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations – you'll partner closely with stakeholders across the organization, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and act as a trusted advisor who can influence decisions through sound financial reasoning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own budget management and forecasting for multiple groups simultaneously, each with distinct goals, stakeholders, and reporting needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with department leaders to build, track, and adjust budgets in accordance with planning cycles.
  • Provide financial leadership – translating data into clear recommendations that shape strategic and operational decisions.
  • Influence stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, even without direct authority, to drive sound financial decision-making.
  • Identify risks, variances, and opportunities across budgets, and proactively flag them to leadership.
  • Build financial models and reporting tools that scale across multiple business groups.
  • Drive month-end/quarter-end close activities including variance analysis and forecasting updates.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead a team of 1-2 Analysts
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; a major in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • A CPA, MBA or CMA is preferred.
  • A minimum 5 years of progressive finance and commercial finance experience is required
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Familiarity with AFO, Tableau, Power BI, and SAP (ledger) a plus
  • Advanced Excel and Presentation skills required.
  • Having a collaborative style and being able to work effectively in a matrix organization across functional groups is required.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively interface with various levels of management is also required.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are required.
