- Care for a census of 5-6 patients
- Provide or assist in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
- Assist with toileting, positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed-bound resident/patient.
- Assist with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.
- Assist with light housekeeping of the individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen and patient’s laundry.
- Feed and assist with meals.
- Report any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Nurse.
- In NJ, homemaker-home health aide means a person who has completed a training program approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing and who is so certified by the Board in accordance with NJSA 45:11-23 et seq and NJAC 13:37.
- Received a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training with at least 16 hours devoted to supervised practical training and with at least 16 hours of classroom instruction completed.
- One year experience as a CNA, hospice aide or home health aide. (Hospice preferred)
- At least 18 years old.
- Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
- The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
