Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a university‑affiliated health care system serving the Bronx and Westchester County. The Department of Pathology performs 12 million billable tests annually and operates multiple clinical laboratory locations.

The Medical Laboratory Director will oversee clinical laboratory operations, participate in hospital committees, and teach residents and medical students. Additional duties will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interests, including translational or clinical research.

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• Board certified in Clinical Pathology (CP) or Anatomical Pathology (AP/CP).
• Established expertise in laboratory management.
• Training or experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine desirable; other AP/CP subspecialty experience also highly valued.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship.
• Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine commensurate with credentials and experience.

• Oversee clinical laboratory operations.
• Participate actively in hospital committees.
• Teach residents and medical students.
• Engage in translational or clinical research as appropriate.

Annual salary ranges from $250,000 to $375,000, dependent on experience. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package are offered.
