Requirements

• Current license in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by client facility.

The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department through technical proficiency.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
• Assist the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures, including monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment of excellence, patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality care.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
