Job Overview

RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for an Assistant Vice President for Children’s Specialized Hospital. The Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health will be responsible for the strategic growth, quality and safety outcomes, patient experience, and employee engagement for outpatient pediatric behavioral health.

Qualifications
  • 10 years experience in Pediatric Behavioral Health Leadership
  • Bachelors degree required;
    Masters degree in business or management strongly preferred
  • PhD in Clinical Psychology, MD, DO with a specialization in Psychiatry or a PsyD is preferred
  • Established history of success in driving clinical, financial, strategic and engagement results in a large organization
Essential Functions
  • Increase the number of patients served aligned with the Childrens Specialized Hospital and behavioral health service line strategy
  • Enhance and standardize pediatric behavioral health clinical care across outpatient services
  • Vastly improve access to outpatient behavioral health services including early childhood behavioral health services
  • Create a denser pediatric behavioral health network for children and young adults
  • Enhance the patient experience of pediatric behavioral health across CSH RWJBH
  • Achieve 30 percent revenue growth for the period of 2026 to 2028
  • Create more robust, more diversified care delivery models for Childrens Specialized Hospital
  • Provide and maintain effective communication with clinical staff
  • Regularly tour the facilities to solicit feedback regarding performance needs and ensure that all sites comply with regulatory requirements
  • Lead the CSH Behavioral Health division by setting goals to increase patients served, reduce inefficiencies and improve quality and safety
