  University Correctional Healthcare is seeking a Part Time UCHC Staff Nurse for Edna Mahan Correctional Facility, located in Clinton, NJ. The Staff Nurse utilizes the nursing process to meet a variety of health care needs with ambulatory care as a primary focus. Works with a variety of health care professionals and security officers in a correctional environment. Responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care, effective communication, and promoting a safe environment for inmate-patients.

  Education and Experience:
  
  Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
  Minimum of one (1) year of psychiatric experience.
• Certifications/Licenses: License to practice in the State of New Jersey; CPR Certification required;
  Valid Driver's License required with own vehicle or alternate transportation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must have the physical capacity to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes; able to lift and carry an emergency treatment bag up to 45 pounds and assist in lifting and rotating patients up to 50 pounds.
