Salary Details: A minimum salary of $134,085 for Assistant Professor. The final base salary for this faculty appointment will be determined by the Department and School in accordance with institutional policies and practices.
Offer Information:
The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure. paid vacation, holidays, and various leave programs; competitive retirement benefits, including defined contribution plans and voluntary tax-deferred savings options; and employee and dependent educational benefits.
The successful candidate will join a team of researchers and clinicians as a member of the Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence (CIMCoE), co-directed by Drs. Christian Hinrichs and Eileen White. The CIMCoE is built on existing strengths in cancer metabolism and immunological research in partnership with Princeton University and clinical translation through our robust CAR-T and TCR-T cell therapy program with onsite GMP manufacturing and first-in-human clinical trials.
The research program follows an iterative bench-to-bedside strategy of investigator-initiated research in which laboratory discovery drives clinical trials, and clinical trials drive laboratory research. New faculty are expected to establish an innovative, independent, and collaborative research program, with interdisciplinary collaborations with Rutgers Cancer Institute consortium faculty.
Responsibilities include establishing an independent research program, pursuing peer-reviewed funding, publishing in cancer immunology, and contributing to translational efforts in Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence.
