Role
Summary:
We are seeking a high-impact Solution Sales Partner to drive growth in our U.S. Healthcare & Life Sciences business. This role combines deep domain expertise in Life Sciences (expert-level in one of:
Pharma, Biotech, Medical Devices, or Regulatory Affairs
, and foundational knowledge in the others) with strong sales acumen and client engagement capabilities.
You will be responsible for delivering 60% of impact through net new revenue growth and 40% through building differentiated, industry-specific solution offerings in collaboration with our ecosystem of partners and internal teams. This is a highly visible, quota-carrying role with a focus on enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, shape, and close new business opportunities across the Life Sciences value chain.
- Engage VP, SVP, and CXO-level client stakeholders to position Sonata’s industry-aligned services and solutions.
- Work closely with Sonata’s sales and presales teams to co-lead opportunity pursuit, solution definition, and proposal development.
- Maintain a robust pipeline and consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue targets.
- Leverage personal and Sonata’s network to open doors and accelerate deal cycles.
- Lead the creation of Points of View (POVs), solution frameworks, and go-to-market strategies aligned to key industry themes.
- Partner with ISVs/platform providers, analysts, and internal teams to design differentiated offerings.
- Represent Sonata at key industry events, forums, and webinars to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
- Share competitive and industry intelligence internally to inform strategy and enablement.
Domain Expertise
- Proven track record of 10+ years of scaling business from the ground up within a small-to-mid-size IT services environment.
- Expert-level knowledge in one core area (Pharma, Biotech, Medical Devices, or Regulatory Affairs) and working understanding of adjacent sectors.
- Strong understanding of business processes across R&D, clinical, manufacturing, regulatory, or commercial functions.
- Ability to bridge domain and technology to articulate business value.
- Proven ability to lead and close IT services and platform solution deals within Life Sciences.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles, with deal sizes typically exceeding $1M+.
- Familiarity with consultative selling frameworks and strategic account management.
- Well-connected with VP, SVP, and CXO-level stakeholders across Life Sciences organizations.
- Ability to tap into industry networks and relationships to accelerate business development and brand visibility.
- Adept at working in a matrixed environment across sales, marketing, delivery, and partner ecosystems.
- Executive presence with strong communication, presentation, and influence skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Technology preferred.
- 10+ years of combined experience in Life Sciences and consultative solution selling roles.
- Willingness to travel to client locations and industry events as needed.
