Reg Ops Java Lead Developer
Location: Metro Park Office - NJ (2–3 days per week in person, hybrid schedule)
Employment type: Contract (6 months, potential conversion to full‑time)
In this role you will collaborate with operations, compliance, risk, and IT to design and deliver new regulatory reporting and operational capabilities using modern technologies and data/software architectures.
Key Responsibilities• Lead the design, development, and deployment of core Java server components for regulatory reporting.
• Mentor and manage a small–to–medium development team, ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Integrate with enterprise systems via message queues, XML, and enterprise messaging frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- 10+ years of core Java server development focused on server‑side systems
- Strong knowledge of XML, Spring, and Camel Framework
- Proficient with message queues (Kafka, JMS, Active
MQ, IBM MQ, etc.) and enterprise integration - Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Sybase, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Agile, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Sonar Qube)
- Proven track record leading teams, mentoring developers, and managing deliverables
- Experience with financial products (derivatives IRD/FX/CRD)
- Experience with operations systems and processes such as regulatory reporting and collateral management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
