Job Title: Director – Translational Pathology
Location: 100% Remote (US-based preferred)
Job Type: Contract (3 - 6 months, with possible extension)
We are seeking a Director, Translational Pathology to support Oncology and Specialty Medicine programs through pathology-driven translational strategies. This role will work cross-functionally within Translational Science to drive biomarker development, digital pathologyinitiatives, and companion diagnostics efforts across the development continuum.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role with direct scientific impact.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of translational pathology strategies across assigned assets
- Build and expand digital pathology capabilities, including data generation and analysis
- Serve as a scientific expert for pathology-based biomarker and patient selection strategies
- Develop and manage external partnerships, primarily focused on digital pathology
- Integrate pathology datasets with multi-omic analyses to support hypothesis-driven research
- Collaborate with Clinical Development, Discovery, CDx, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and QCP teams
- Provide scientific guidance on validation status, clinical applicability, and technical considerations of translational pathology approaches
- MD or MD/PhD with Anatomic Pathology board certification (US or equivalent international training accepted)
- 5+ years of post-doctoral and relevant industry experience in pathology-driven translational research
- Strong experience with digital/computational pathology technologies
- Demonstrated leadership in translational research supporting clinical trials
- Experience across preclinical to clinical development stages
- Knowledge of companion diagnostics (CDx) development preferred
