Job Summary

Senior Data Scientist, Generative AI – Global Finance – New Brunswick, New Jersey. Responsible for developing data science products, advanced generative AI models, and delivering high‑impact solutions to finance and business leaders.

Develop end‑to‑end data science solutions: understand business problems, process data, build algorithms, visualize results, and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.

Employ generative AI techniques to upgrade machine learning models into hybrid models, ensuring compliance with legal, compliance, and IT guidelines.

Write production‑level scalable code in Python or R, implement predictive, time‑series forecasting, decision‑support, NLP, and other ML models.

Execute data science projects from acquisition to deployment, build pipelines for large datasets from finance and ERP systems such as SAP HANA, and automate workflows.

Deploy analytical models into production, maintain version control, documentation, and architectural standards.

Partner with cross‑functional teams including technology, finance systems and data, group finance, CFOs, compliance, data engineering, and other data scientists to ensure project success.

Advocate data‑driven insights and data science methods across JnJ Global Finance organization, understanding business context to better apply solutions.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or any quantitative STEM discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience executing data science projects from initiation through PoC to production.
• Knowledge of big data, data pipelining, machine learning, intermediate software development, and automation.
• Strong commercial focus with solid background in data science and machine learning/statistics.
• Preferably experience in a finance or commercial setting.
• Ability to connect and partner with senior executives and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing compliance, risk, and stakeholder commitments in large organizations.

Base pay range: $147,000 to $169,050 USD.

In Washington, additional 56 hours sick time.
