Analytical Operations - Senior Specialist

Job Summary:
As an Analytical Operations - Sr Specialist at BMS, your work will ensure the reliable operations of our data assets to stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accessible data to consumers-such as analysts and data scientists-in a rapid and continuous fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that analytics assets (data pipelines and data models) are reliably and efficiently deployed and maintained in production.
* Monitor and Troubleshoot:
Set up monitoring dashboards and alerts to proactively track the performance and health of data pipelines, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
* Enhance Performance and Optimization:
Continuously monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, efficiency, and resource usage to manage costs and improve scalability
* Implement CI/CD for Data:
Apply continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to data pipelines, allowing for the rapid, reliable deployment of new data models and features.
* Demonstrate a focus on improving processes, structures and knowledge within the team. Lead in analyzing current states, deliver strong recommendations in understanding complexity in the environment, and the ability to execute to bring complex solutions to completion.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
* 1-2 years of experience in data engineering, full stack development or cloud engineering.
* Experience in data engineering, Dev Ops, or Data Ops is preferred.
* Works independently. Responsible for the direct management of a cross functional team including results/outcomes.
* Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Python and SQL.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and their data services (e.g., AWS S3, Glue, Lambda) will be a plus.
* Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD.

Compensation Overview:
New Brunswick - NJ - US: $81,260 - $98,468
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
