Senior Director, Head of Data Science Services
Location:
New Brunswick, NJ
Senior Director, Head of Data Science Services – Enterprise Authority for workforce data science and intelligence. Responsible for setting the vision, standards, and impact agenda for advanced analytics and AI across HR, turning workforce signals into predictive insight, scalable models, and decision intelligence embedded in HR products and employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Own, define, and evolve the enterprise HR data science strategy, including quantitative research standards, statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
- Lead the HR data science team building predictive, diagnostic, and prescriptive models for people analytics, workforce planning, and HR workflow automation.
- Establish and enforce methodological quality standards for research, model development, validation, and insight storytelling.
- Own the employee listening strategy – annual surveys, pulse programs, qualitative tools, and continuous and passive listening models at scale.
- Translate employee and product listening insights into clear, prioritized actions for HR leaders, business partners, and digital product teams.
- Create and lead an enterprise HR knowledge management capability, defining strategy and operating model for searchable, current, reusable HR knowledge.
- Partner across HR and Digital teams to embed knowledge, insights, and models directly into HR workflows, products, and employee‑facing experiences.
- Own Responsible AI standards for HR data science, covering model fairness, transparency, explainability, and ethical use of workforce data.
- Explore and implement emerging AI technologies (generative AI, large language models, NLP) to enhance HR insights, automation, and employee experience with transparency and ethics.
- Collaborate with HR AI, Legal, Data Governance, and Technology partners to meet regulatory, privacy, and ethical AI requirements.
- Act as an external‑facing thought leader, staying current on emerging trends in data science, AI, listening, and knowledge management, translating into a forward‑looking roadmap.
- Partner with senior HR and business leaders to integrate workforce insights into business strategy, measuring impact on ROI and talent outcomes.
- Lead and develop a globally distributed team of senior leaders and specialists, fostering experimentation, rigor, and impact.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial‑Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in data science, advanced analytics, or people analytics within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Deep expertise in quantitative research methods, statistical modeling, and applied machine learning with experience operationalizing models for business use.
- Proven ability to translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams across analytics, listening, and insight generation functions.
- Strong executive communication skills, influencing, challenging, and aligning senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading or modernizing employee listening programs, including continuous or passive listening approaches.
- Experience building or scaling knowledge management or unstructured data capabilities.
- Familiarity with modern analytics and HR tech stacks (Python, R, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Workday, Snowflake, AWS).
- Experience defining or implementing Responsible AI, ethical analytics, or model governance frameworks in an HR or workforce context.
- Experience operating in a global environment with sensitivity to regional, cultural, and regulatory differences.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ - $.
Benefits- Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
- Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; 48 hours for Colorado, 56 hours for Washington.
- Holiday pay, including floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year.
- Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year.
- Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child.
- Bereavement Leave – 240 hours.
- Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period.
