Instructor - Summer Session for the Undergraduate Program in Information Technology and Informatics (Summer 2026)
We are seeking part‑time lecturers for the Undergraduate Program in Information Technology and Informatics. The position is for the Summer 2026 session at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Salary is a minimum of $2,777 per credit taught. The final salary may be adjusted based on qualifications, experience, and availability of funds.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in Linux and Windows operating systems, networking and database fundamentals, and object‑oriented programming in Python.
- Teach courses in information security and assurance, cyber‑analytics, and incident analysis and response.
- Teach courses in web development, especially Python‑based full‑stack web application design and development.
- Teach courses in data analytics and information visualization.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree strongly preferred; doctoral degree welcome.
- Professional work experience typical for part‑time faculty.

Immunization Requirements:
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment commences during flu season, the University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against seasonal influenza for the current flu season, unless a medical or religious exemption is granted.
