The Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) Analytics team is a part of BMS Business Insights and Technology. The Manager, Demand Forecasting & Supply Chain Analytics will establish advanced demand forecasting capabilities and provide data science capabilities for the broader Analytics organization. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Commercialization Analytics team and the Supply Chain organization to inform and contextualize forecasts, managing the forecasting process, and operationalizing predictive models.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and contextualize critical business issues, working to embed an objective and unbiased point of view into business conversations.
- Drive fact‑based decision making for key GPS portfolio questions, enabling priority business choices.
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of GPS business priorities, delivering agreed analytics deliverables on time.
- Design, develop, build, implement, and maintain analytics tools solving complex problems using best practices for analytics Dev Ops.
- Identify new opportunities to further leverage analytics, data, and analytical tools.
- Ensure best practice adoption within responsibility areas, applying appropriate technical capability, standardization, and subject‑matter expertise.
- Proactively manage planned and ad hoc analytics requests, ensuring consistent quality and timeliness.
- Leverage standards for analytics delivery, support planning and decision‑making processes, and utilize escalation processes.
- Provide input and feedback to improve GPS BI&T capabilities.
- Establish close working partnerships with business stakeholders and cross‑functional teams (Commercial Analytics, Data Science AI & BI Solutions, etc.).
- Partner with broader cross‑functional counterparts (Commercial, Procurement, Finance) to achieve organizational objectives.
- Demonstrate adherence to BMS operating policies and values.
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data science, engineering, finance, or another quantitative field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with applied machine learning, statistical models, time‑series modeling, or quantitative forecasting.
- Experience with SQL, Python and/or R in production/operational environments.
- Experience working with large data sets and basic data architecture and database concepts.
- Experience developing production‑grade code using version control.
- Experience building data visualizations and dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau.
- Experience building and deploying predictive models (MLOps).
- Experience with probabilistic methods (Monte Carlo simulations, Bayesian methods).
- Experience with major GPS applications (SAP, LIMS, Infinity, MES, Aera).
- Experience in life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Experience with Generative or Agentic AI is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
New Brunswick, NJ – US $96,560 – $117,008. The starting compensation range applies to full‑time employees. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility.
