Senior Counsel​/Legal Director, Supply Chain

Overview

Senior Counsel/Legal Director, Med Tech Supply Chain – Electrophysiology and Neurovascular. Provides legal support to the Electrophysiology and Neurovascular Supply Chain organization and the External Manufacturing categories of procurement. Global leadership role within the Med Tech Supply Chain leadership team, supporting critical areas of the business.

• Lead Attorney to the Electrophysiology and Neurovascular Supply Chain Leadership Team; act as a strategic counsel to advance team goals.
• Lead legal support for the Electrophysiology and Neurovascular Sourcing Team, including procurement categories within that team.
• Lead legal support for External Manufacturing and Med Tech procurement.
• Provide supervision and advice to Contract Management Organization members supporting contracting work for above activities.
• Offer strategic legal advice and pragmatic, risk-based counsel on supply chain issues, including supplier disputes.
• Manage drafting and negotiation of complex supply chain agreements, including master supply and external manufacturing agreements.
• Advise on proposed regulations impacting supply chain activities and shape responses (e.g., import/export, trade controls, local manufacturing incentives, supply chain shortages).
• Proactively assess and manage legal risk for end-to-end supply chain worldwide.
• Coordinate legal support across functional groups (Legal Strategy, Operations & Risk Management, R&D, Regulatory Legal, IP, Commercial Legal, Privacy, Communications, Quality, EHS, HCC).
• Promote adherence to good contracting processes; simplify templates; develop contracting aids and playbooks; manage prudent risk-taking.
• Oversee outside counsel relationships, workflow, and budget; facilitate training and education for leadership teams.
• Coordinate support for Med Tech manufacturing facilities in the EMEA region and raise awareness of Supply Chain considerations with GLO members.

• Licensed attorney with 8+ years of relevant practicing legal experience preferred.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements, in-house at a multinational or large/mid-sized law firm.
• Experience or strong interest in healthcare and Med Tech sectors.
• Proven track record of anticipating and mitigating legal risk.
• Ability to align cross-functional teams and provide outstanding legal services to senior executives.
• Solution- and business-oriented, pragmatic problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead through influence in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to draft and negotiate in English.
• Ability to manage conflicts constructively and handle ambiguity; promote high ethical, legal, and compliance standards.
• Experience with Supply Chain contracts, technology outsourcing, and/or software/technology procurement is advantageous but not required.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.Relocation expenses are not paid/reimbursed.
