Position Summary
We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to lead complex tax engagements, strengthen client relationships, and actively contribute to the growth of our NJ and Long Island practice. This partner-track leadership role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional with experience in business development, mentoring, and managing high-level client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and review of complex individual, partnership, and corporate tax engagements.
- Deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients.
- Develop and grow new business opportunities within the community and client base.
- Mentor, train, and supervise managers, seniors, and staff to foster technical excellence and leadership readiness.
- Partner with firm leadership on regional growth initiatives, process improvements, and service expansion.
- Collaborate with colleagues nationally to support multi-location clients and firm-wide initiatives.
- Support advisory projects including entity restructuring, transactions, and multi-state compliance.
Qualifications
- CPA or JD license required.
- 8–12 years of progressive public accounting experience with deep expertise in taxation.
- Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
- Proven technical proficiency in federal and state tax law, including multi-state compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for growth and potential equity participation.
