Packaging Engineer, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Production QC/QA
Sun Pharma is a global leader in generic and specialty healthcare. We are looking for an experienced Packaging Supervisor to lead 1st shift packaging operations within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:- Lead daily packaging activities and coordinate daily and weekly schedules with Manufacturing Supervisors.
- Ensure packaging compliance with cGMP, SOPs, FDA requirements and company standards.
- Develop and revise packaging work instructions, SOPs, and maintain packaging records.
- Implement process improvements to reduce set‑up times and enhance efficiency.
- Write, review and execute packaging process qualification (PQ) protocols.
- Investigate packaging incidents, initiate corrective actions, and support audits and inspections.
- Supervise packaging personnel, set performance goals, conduct appraisals and provide training.
- Develop and revise packaging SOPs and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities to improve packaging efficiency and recommend equipment or process enhancements.
- Support serialization and aggregation activities, as applicable.
- Investigate and resolve packaging‑related incidents and complaints.
- Ensure adherence to cGMPs, FDA guidelines and safety regulations.
- Provide backup support during meetings, audits, and inspections.
- Directly supervise packaging personnel, set goals, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members.
- Deliver consistent and compliant training.
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
- Travel:
Up to 5%.
- Manufacturing/production/laboratory setting with moderate to high noise, fumes, gases, airborne dust and mechanical hazards.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements is mandatory.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing and reaching.
- Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs.
- Must navigate office, laboratory, warehouse and plant floor environments.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, respirators and safety shoes.
- High School diploma, trade school, vocational diploma, GED or equivalent required; B.S. in a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Background in line operations, line balance and packaging execution.
- Knowledge of serialization, aggregation and packaging validation preferred.
- Self‑starter with a hands‑on, can‑do leadership style.
- English language proficiency at CEFR Intermediate B1+ level.
- Minimum 9 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience.
- Stable day‑shift schedule with weekends free.

The base salary range is $86,500 to $96,500, with potential for annual performance bonus and long‑term incentive plans.
