Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Inventory Specialist to support our engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing operations. In this critical role, you will ensure the availability, control, and traceability of engineering spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance materials while maintaining compliance with GMP requirements, inventory management standards, and audit readiness expectations.

This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working cross-functionally, managing inventory systems, and supporting operational reliability in a regulated manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:
Inventory Management & Control
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming engineering materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders, specifications, vendor certifications, and shipping documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP and other inventory management systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Initiate material requisitions and reorder inventory as needed to support ongoing operations.
  • Track and manage fast-moving, critical, slow-moving, and obsolete spare parts.
  • Control inventory usage to support preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance activities.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with GMP, SOPs, and data integrity requirements.
  • Ensure proper completion of:
    • Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs)
    • Issue and Return Slips
    • Logbooks
    • Inventory Registers (manual and electronic)
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Maintain inventory traceability and ensure all records are current and compliant.
Inventory Accuracy & Reporting
  • Conduct routine stock counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory status reports and provide updates to management as required.
  • Monitor inventory trends and recommend improvements to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
Engineering & Maintenance Support
  • Issue spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials against approved requisitions.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Support maintenance shutdowns, preventive maintenance programs, and emergency repair activities by ensuring critical spare parts are available.
  • Assist with vendor inspections, material verification, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Interface with OEMs, contractors, EPC vendors, and consultants as needed.
  • Support routine facility maintenance projects and related activities.
Safety, Sustainability & Housekeeping
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly engineering storeroom environment.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals, lubricants, and hazardous materials.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by helping monitor:
    • Energy consumption
    • Water usage
    • Emissions
    • Waste generation
Work Environment:
  • Moderate to high noise levels
  • Dust, fumes, odors, and airborne particles
  • Mechanical equipment and moving machinery
  • Chemicals, lubricants, and maintenance materials
  • Industrial and manufacturing hazards
