Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve per diem on day shifts in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, New Brunswick campus. The position offers an hourly pay range of $47.85 to $71.72 and is based in the RWJ New Brunswick facility.
Qualifications Required- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- BSN or completion within 5 years upon hire
- At least 1 year of NICU experience
- National Board Certification in Specialty
- BLS and NRP certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Day shift
- 2 weekend shifts per month plus one summer and one winter holiday shift
- Per diem
- Provides nursing care in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, upholding ethical standards of practice.
- Ensures safety in practice, applies evidence‑based principles, and collaborates with resource professionals.
- Reports safety concerns such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
- Sovvises and directs task delegation, collaborating with other patient‑care providers.
- Sets priorities and measures outcomes to improve care.
- Utilizes the nursing process to individualize the plan of care.
