Pay Range: $47.85 - $67.76 per hour

• Provide traditional and individualized comfort measures; create a climate for healing.
• Advocate for patients and families by providing information and opportunities to participate in goal setting.
• Teach and coach by identifying patient readiness; formulate and implement individual teaching plans; document outcomes.
• Interpret conditions and plan for patient needs; document outcomes with consideration of age-appropriate care.
• Triage and manage life-threatening emergencies; initiate appropriate interventions and document outcomes; reset priorities as clinical demands change.
• Detect and document significant changes in a patient’s physiological, psychological, cultural and spiritual condition; collaborate with physicians and health care team to determine interventions.
• Administer medications accurately and safely; document according to the Nursing Process and hospital standards.
• Monitor and contribute to the quality of health care practices; participate in unit-based performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork; assume charge and preceptor responsibilities when necessary.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey or eligible for licensure.
• BLS Certification Required; PALS/ACLS Certification Required.
• Experience:
  
  Previous Acute Care experience preferred.
• Work Environment and Hazards:
  Exposure to blood, excrement and odors; exposure to infections and communicable diseases; potential exposure to hazardous materials.
• Special Physical Demands:
  Ability to reach, push, pull, lift, walk and stand for most of the shift; ability to function under rapidly changing and stressful conditions.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Active NJ nursing license or eligibility; BLS, PALS/ACLS as required.
