Job Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Post Intensive Care Unit II at the New Brunswick campus.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• At least 2-3 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements

• Day Shift, 36 hours per week, 7a-7:30p
• Monday - Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation
• Part-time

Essential Functions:

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and adheres to ANA code of ethics.
• Maintains safety in practice and pursues ongoing knowledge development; communicates with and utilizes resources to advance patient care knowledge.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other care providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities with interventions and measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate care and individualizes the plan of care for each patient.
