Licensed Practical Nurse PT Nights UCHC GSYCF

Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (PT Nights) at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, Yardville, NJ. The position is part of UCHC, an affiliate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

• Participate in data collection related to patients' status and needs, providing input to the Registered Nurse for care plan integration.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice to ensure implementation of the plan of care.
• Inform and instruct patients and significant others on health/illness state and plan of care.
• Assist patients and significant others with preparation for discharge and health maintenance in the home.
• Document all aspects of patient care.

• Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the facility.

• At least six (6) months of experience in an acute hospital setting.

• Part‑time, 20 hours per week (night shift).

• 12‑month term.

• Full onsite work arrangement.

Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.

Ability to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes and lift/rotate patients up to 50 pounds.
