ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Assignment Duration: 13-week contract position.

Night shifts - 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend and holiday required, as applicable.

The CVICU Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will utilize advanced nursing skills to manage a diverse patient population including fresh hearts, ventilated patients, chest tubes, and lumbar drains.

• Provide post‑operative care for patients who have undergone cardiac surgery.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions including cardiac drips and sedation.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases.
• Assist with the insertion and management of chest tubes and central lines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure infection prevention and adhere to safety protocols.

• Minimum of 2 years of current CVICU experience is required; SICU experience may be considered with appropriate training.
• Active NJ RN license or compact license at the time of submission.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of post‑cardiac surgery procedures (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR).
