The department of Developmental Pediatrics is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the team!
The Advanced Practice Nurse will be an integral part of the health care team, working with physicians, nurses and nursing or medical assistants to provide comprehensive high-quality ambulatory care, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents).
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive developmental and behavioral assessments for patients across the lifespan, including screening for autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, language delays, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate individualized care plans.
- Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic evaluations and laboratory studies relevant to developmental and behavioral concerns.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with supervising physician protocols for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral disorders.
- Provide anticipatory guidance to families regarding developmental milestones, behavioral strategies, and community resources.
- Participate in care coordination for patients with complex medical, developmental, and psychosocial needs, including referrals to early intervention programs and school-based services.
- Document clinical encounters, assessment findings, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR system.
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices in developmental and behavioral pediatrics through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Support families in navigating community-based services, including regional centers, therapy programs, and special education resources.
- Assist in the supervision and mentorship of students, residents, or other clinical staff as appropriate.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Current Advance Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Current CDS and DEA required
- Master's degree in nursing required
- Two (2) years' experience in specialty strongly preferred
- Certified as a nurse practitioner in the State of New Jersey within area of specialty
- BLS certification, as approved by the American Heart Association
Salary Range: - USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
