Regional Nurse Administrator; Monmouth North Local Office, West Long Branch

Position Summary

This role serves as the Regional Nurse Administrator (RNA) for the Child and Family Nurse Program (CFNP) within the New Jersey Department of Children and Families/Child Protection and Permanency (DCF/CP&P) area, based in the Monmouth North office. The RNA represents CFNP at department meetings, liaises with DCF/CP&P leaders, supervises staff, monitors caseloads, and ensures program standards and nursing best practices are met.

• Represent CFNP leadership at meetings with DCF/CP&P, community service organizations, health care providers, and parent organizations.
• Act as the key nursing liaison for the assigned DCF/CP&P area; communicate regularly with the DCF/CP&P Area Director, Local Office Managers and other DCF/CP&P leadership through phone, email, meetings, and case conferences to address systems, personnel or specific clinical issues and collaborate on solutions.
• Orient, supervise, guide, and evaluate Child and Family Nurse staff; maintain regular communication and supervision; conduct initial/annual performance reviews and implement performance improvement plans or progressive discipline as needed.
• Monitor all Child and Family Nurse caseloads and coordinate assignments; direct necessary adjustments to assure timely delivery of nursing services in all funded local offices within the assigned DCF/CP&P area.
• Participate in program strategic planning, development and implementation of program initiatives, and program evaluation as a member of the CFNP leadership team.
• Ensure nursing practices and operations align with Rutgers School of Nursing standards, CFNP philosophy, and DCF/CP&P policies.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or BA/BS in a health‑related field.
• Supervisory experience.
• Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license and vehicle for regional/statewide travel.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• Travel to all currently funded locations where a CFN is assigned.

• 1–2 years of Child and Family Nurse experience.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or a health‑related field.
• 2 years experience with community health nursing, nursing case management, or nursing care of vulnerable families.
