Job Title
Provide coordination of resources and activities. Interact with all Hospital Departments to initiate, coordinate and maintain optimum patient care as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adults, Geriatrics). Actively promote customer satisfaction as well as a positive work environment. Ensure all procedures are performed based on established standards; demonstrates competency in performing all procedures within scope of practice, in accordance with the requirements of the NJ Board of Nursing, current regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics and institutional policies and procedures as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adults, Geriatrics) and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care activities considering growth and development factors appropriate to the age (Adults, Geriatrics) in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. Report any significant changes in the condition of the Unit, any incidents and/or personnel problems. Be responsible for Unit orientation of new employees and/or float/agency employees. Assist the Nurse Manager in planning for and implementing mechanisms to encourage growth and development of staff.
Maintain knowledge of and is responsible for Nursing Quality Improvement activities on assigned shift. Provide other essential functions as directed by the manager.
