Job OverviewRWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Interventional Radiology Special Procedures Department at the New Brunswick campus.
Required Qualifications- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- At least 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of 2 years ED or Critical Care experience required
- BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
- Radiology Special Procedures experience
- Procedural experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS and PALS Certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Day Shift, 40 hours per week, 8AM - 6:30PM
- Monday – Friday, some weekend & holiday rotation
- On Call Hours required
Essential Functions- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice, integrates evidence-based practice, and maintains a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience, advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team through communication and utilization of resources.
- The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
- The Registered Nurse supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
- The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- The Registered Nurse acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
