Position SummaryAs a Blackbird Medical Services Residency Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership for our PMHNP Residency Program while delivering excellent clinical care to your own caseload. This practicing clinical leadership role involves overseeing daily residency operations, supervising and precepting psychiatric nurse practitioner residents, guiding them toward productivity milestones, mastering evidence‑based practices, and managing academic relationships and residency curriculum updates.

- Supervise and Precept PMHNP Residents: Direct supervision, case reviews, chart audits, and guidance to build productive, independent caseloads.
- Deliver Programmatic Training: Design and execute onboarding, didactics, case conferences, and evidence‑based seminars tailored to the curriculum.
- Deliver High‑Quality Medical Services: Maintain an 18‑hour direct clinical care caseload per week, serving as the gold standard of practice.
- Drive Resident & Patient Progress: Monitor patient progress, coach residents on treatment adjustments, and address concerns through outreach.
- Collaborate for Integrated Care: Work with specialty leadership (Therapy, OT, SLP) to teach integrated treatment plans.
- Manage Academic & Pipeline Partnerships: Support PMHNP educational programs by managing student rotations and university relationships.
- Maintain Clinical & Compliance Excellence: Ensure compliance with documentation, billing, and regulatory standards; run audits.
- Support Programmatic Growth: Collaborate with recruitment and leadership to screen, interview, and select new cohorts, fostering a supportive learning ecosystem.
- Current license as a Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in PA/NJ/MD/VA — at least one at start, with ability to cross‑license in multiple states.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a licensed CRNP/PMHNP, preferably in child/adolescent psychiatry; 1 year of experience within Blackbird is preferred.
- Proven experience in a precepting, clinical supervision, or clinical educator role within an advanced practice nursing program or residency framework.
