American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Infusion position requiring at least 1 year of infusion/oncology experience and active chemotherapy certification.

• Outpatient oncology infusion center setting at a cancer center
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 1 Saturday per month, no Sundays
• Floating required between the infusion center and main campus for appropriate assignments
• EPIC charting system used

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in outpatient infusion or oncology (chemo certified) required
• Experience administering chemotherapy via IV push, continuous infusion, and oral administration
• Skilled in central line care, central line blood draws, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience managing chemotherapy-related symptoms including nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, and altered mental status
• Phlebotomy skills preferred
• Experience with biotherapy and immunotherapy preferred

• Administer chemotherapy via multiple routes including IV push, continuous infusion, and oral administration
• Monitor patients for chemotherapy side effects and manage related symptoms
• Provide patient and family education and psychosocial support
• Provide care related to withholding or withdrawing treatment as needed
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 designated holidays
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Previous RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for this travel assignment
