Travel Nurse Source  is working with Prime Staffing to find a qualified CVICU RN in New Brunswick, New Jersey, 08901. : .

Fresh hearts, ventilated patients, chest tubes and lumbar drains, chronic and acute renal failure.

Applicants MUST have experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax
-OR- experience with fresh heart cases.

• Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Titrate Cardiac drips
• Titrate Vasoactive drips
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Valve Repair/Replacement
• Ventilator Management
• Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
• Prismax
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• IV insulin protocols
• Lumbar drains
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
• Phlebotomy
• PICC line management

Number of years of experience required: 2 years of current CVICU experience. May consider SICU experience with initial training in a CVICU. Previous Charge

Every other weekend and holiday required, as applicable. All time off or schedule accommodations must be sent with the submittal and approved before the offer.

Floating required to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and all IMC units.
