Position Summary
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for performing daily, on-the-floor quality checks. Key responsibilities include conducting internal tests for in-process checks within the compression and encapsulation departments, sampling finished powders, and collecting completed pill samples to prepare and submit to third-party laboratories for testing. The role also involves supporting daily production monitoring and assisting with internal auditing activities.
Primary Responsibilities- On-the-Floor Monitoring:
Perform daily on-the-floor monitoring of production processes in blending, compression, and encapsulation departments to ensure batches are meeting in-process specifications. - Raw Material & Finished Product Support:
Review daily production schedules and prepare sampling bottles and labels for capsules, compression, and coating lines. Collect retention samples from all processing lines and perform relative quality checks and labeling areas. Organize retention samples and maintain logs for future reference. - Hardness Testing:
Perform Hardness Testing for specific products. Perform Hardness Testing for Product Development samples upon request.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Language proficiency – Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Computer skills – Possess good computer skills and competence in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Communication skills – Demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills.
- Task Management – Works in coordination with assigned project plans and goals.
- Attention to detail – Ability to perform routine tasks by ensuring quality parameters are consistently followed and deviation from SOPs are addressed or reported.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Able to work in an environment that is exposed to powders, chemicals, and food allergens.
