Postdoctoral Associate
Rutgers Cancer Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in Cancer Immunotherapy within the Department of Medical Immunology. A Postdoctoral Associate position is available at Rutgers Cancer Institute in Christian Hinrichs's laboratory to conduct research on tumor immunology with a focus on the discovery and development of T cell therapy for cancer, including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and gene-engineered T cells.
Postdoctoral Associates are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important and fundamental questions. Active areas of research include T cell receptor discovery, membrane-tethered cytokine technologies, tumor resistance mutations, target antigen discovery, and preclinical development of new TCR-based treatments. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged.
Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing or have finished the training for their Ph.D. and/or M.D. Candidates must provide proof all requirements have been fulfilled before their position start date. Preferred: graduates with a strong publication record and looking to move to the next stage of their training.
Essential duties and responsibilities include conducting multidisciplinary research in the area of tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy with a focus on the discovery and development of T cell therapy for cancer, including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and gene engineered T cells. Prepares written reports of the research experiments. Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted. Gives oral presentations of the research.
Salary range:
Minimum Salary - 20,000, Mid Range Salary - 90,000, Maximum Salary - 200,000. The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university's broader compensation structure.
