OverviewJoin the Tom Lin laboratory in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. Candidates must be highly self‑motivated, capable of learning new techniques, and maintain excellent documentation. Role involves independent and collaborative work in a diverse group.
Responsibilities- Devote 50% of research time to arginylation research and 50% to independent interests and collaborations.
- Design, develop, and perform enzymatic and cellular assays.
- Write papers and grants independently with guidance.
- Participate fully as a team player within the lab.
- Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities.
- Minimum Education: Ph.D. or Doctorate in a relevant research field.
- Preferred Experience: Knowledge of proteomics, protein purification, enzyme assays, and cell culture.
Experience with
E. coli protein purification considered favorably. - Strong training in proteomics and cell assays; applicants with mostly synthetic/medicinal chemistry training are discouraged.
- Self‑motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
