Research Assistant/Associate, Clinical Research
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant, Per Diem within the Population Sciences, Behavioral Sciences Section at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. This role will provide support in recruitment, data collection, data management, study material development, participant tracking, retention, patient communications, and incentives for research on improving cancer outcomes for Hispanic cancer survivors.

Working Hours:
19 hours per week (standard 40‑hour schedule)
- Work under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
- Assist with recruitment, including community outreach and engagement in English and Spanish.
- Assist with data collection and data management.
- Conduct qualitative data analysis under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to publish scientific research papers and abstracts.
- Act as a role model for corporate integrity, customer service, and improved quality.
Minimum Salary: $15.92 per hour
Mid‑Range Salary: $75.00 per hour
Maximum Salary: $150.00 per hour

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in public health or a related field.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Experience analyzing qualitative data with Atlas.ti.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Physical Demands
- Standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
- No special vision requirements.
Work Environment:
Office environment with moderate noise.
