Posting Summary

The Research Project Coordinator II will support the Rutgers Center for State Health Policy (CSHP) within the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research (IFH). The role requires basic research skills – literature reviews, IRB submissions, quantitative and qualitative research coordination, and spreadsheet tracking – as well as project coordination experience managing workplans, timelines, progress reports, and collaboration with external partners.

The incumbent will participate in policy meetings with senior state officials and may contribute to peer‑reviewed publications.

Responsibilities
  • Identify tasks and complete activities for quantitative and qualitative research approaches as required for specific projects.
  • Conduct rigorous literature reviews to inform interview protocol development.
  • Draft interview materials, including questionnaires and consent forms.
  • Prepare and submit IRB applications and manage ongoing human subjects compliance.
  • Draft findings reports and presentations for PI review.
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets to track project deliverables.
  • Maintain project work plans to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables received from internal and external team members.
  • Schedule project meetings and prepare agendas and other materials as requested by the project PI.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education and Experience
    :
    Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years of relevant research or research administrative experience, or equivalent combination. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    :
    Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to translate research findings for both academic and non‑academic audiences.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    :
    • Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field.
    • Knowledge of autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities policy.
    • Knowledge of healthcare policy.
  • Computer skills:
    Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary Details

Minimum Salary: $59,893.48 Mid Range Salary: $73,909.48 Maximum Salary: $87,925.48

Work Arrangement

Position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement under Rutgers Policy 60.3.22. Flexible arrangements are subject to change and require approval through the Flex Work@RU Application System.

Pre‑employment Screening

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 100.3.1, employees beginning during flu season may be required to provide proof of influenza vaccination unless a medical or religious exemption is granted. Failure to provide proof or obtain an exemption may result in rescission of the offer or disciplinary action up to termination.
