Position Summary
The Education and Employment Research Center at the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University seeks a part-time quantitative researcher for work on higher education and workforce development projects to help design and execute quantitative research and evaluation plans.
OverviewThis is a grant-funded position. Hours will vary quarterly, from 10 to 30+ hours per week, depending on project funding and need. The duration of the position will be determined by project funding and need.
Qualifications- Master or doctoral degree in a social science discipline.
- Minimum of three years of academic or professional research experience.
- Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS, and/or STATA.
- Experience with Qualtrics survey development and administration.
- Experience conducting education and/or workforce research.
- Experience with state administrative records data sets on students, federal survey systems, and national datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS, and/or STATA, and Qualtrics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong quantitative ability, including knowledge of quasi-experimental methods.
