Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate within Cancer Pharmacology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.

The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Associate position is to conduct research investigation into the characterization of oncogenic and tumor suppressor enhancer regions, as well as on the dissection of the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics in T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL) using mouse models under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The Postdoctoral Associate also performs research, experiments, and laboratory techniques of a specialized nature under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator.

Additionally, the Postdoctoral Associate drafts written reports for inclusion in manuscripts and grant proposals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Conducts research experiments to understand the role and mechanisms of oncogenic and tumor suppressor enhancers as well as the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics to unveil new therapeutic strategies.

* Being able to effectively work with mouse models in vivo and perform FACS analyses.

* Prepares written reports of the research experiments.

* Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.

* Gives oral presentations of the research.

* Assists with instructing and training students, fellows, lower-level professionals, and technicians in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, etc., to develop the skills necessary to perform required functions.

FLSA Exempt Grade Salary Details Minimum Salary 20,000 Mid Range Salary 90,000 Maximum Salary 200,000 Offer Information

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.
