Research Assistant, Per Diem
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant, Per Diem within the Population Sciences, Behavioral Sciences Section at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. The Arana Research Lab at Rutgers Cancer Institute is seeking a Research Assistant, Per Diem to conduct research on understanding and improving cancer outcomes for Hispanic cancer survivors. The Research Assistant, Per Diem will provide support in recruitment, data collection, data management, study material development, participant tracking, retention, patient communications, and incentives.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Works under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Assists with recruitment, including community outreach and engagement in English and Spanish. Assists with data collection and data management. Conducts qualitative data analysis under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to publish scientific research papers and abstracts. Acts as a role model for corporate integrity, customer service and improved quality.
Minimum Salary - 15.92 Mid Range Salary - 75.00 Maximum Salary - 150.00

Position Status
- Per Diem Working Hours - 19 Standard Hours - 40.00 Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement
- This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective oral and communication skills. Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience analyzing qualitative data with Atlas.ti is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish desired.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment. Moderate noise.
