Job Description:

The Cafeteria Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, serving, and ensuring the quality of meals provided to students and staff in a timely, efficient, and sanitary manner. This role supports the overall food service operations within the cafeteria, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and serve food items according to established menus and portion sizes.

* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving areas, and dining space.

* Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

* Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.

* Provide friendly and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth cafeteria operations.

* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

* Previous experience in food service or cafeteria work preferred but not required.

* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying supplies.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
