Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Eagleton Science Fellows for the Eagleton Institute of Politics.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

* Assists New Jersey State government policy- and decision-makers with the design and implementation of policies based in sound evidence and innovative approaches.

* Aides full-time in the executive or legislative branch and brings advanced technical skills to service in state government.

* Leads a research project and progress independently.

* Collaborates with the Eagleton Science and Politics Program and/or the Science Fellow's placement supervisor.

FLSA Exempt Salary Details $70,000 Offer Information

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university's broader compensation structure. Position Status Working Hours 40 Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the Flex Work@RU Application System

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

* Ph.D. in a natural science or engineering discipline or doctoral-level degree in a health profession.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Exceptional critical thinking, communication skills, and an understanding of diverse perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment

* Eagleton offices are located within a historic building with no elevator.

* The duties of this position regularly involve navigating stairs numerous times a day.
