Seasonal Agricultural Workers

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Seasonal Agricultural Workers for the Department of Plant Biology within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Works with turfgrass pathologist(s) in the Center of Turfgrass Sciences at Rutgers University. Conducts turfgrass field and greenhouse management, disease control program development, agricultural chemical application and disease control efficacy evaluation. Conducts day-to-day field and laboratory experiments using ARM software for project management.

FLSA
- Nonexempt

Salary Details - $16 - $21/hourly

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
- High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or a related discipline. Knowledge of wet and dry lab techniques, such as, DNA extraction from turfgrass samples, digital PCR, and statistical analysis.

Equipment Utilized

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The tasks will be performed in the field, greenhouse and laboratory environments.
