Design, develop and deliver generative/agentic AI solutions that accelerate end‑to‑end data pipeline engineering activities. The position is located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for the Data Technology Team.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes using tools equivalent to Databricks.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through meticulous testing and validation, applying intelligent automation principles for development, testing and release.
  • Monitor system performance and solve issues to ensure optimal operation in line with expected SLAs.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, working with and guiding third‑party vendors.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this to the ecosystem.
  • Own and lead proof of concepts and minimal viable products hands‑on.
  • Present results, key insights and explain complex analysis in a simple manner to senior leaders across different functions to help drive data‑driven decision making and adoption. Leverage data visualization/dashboarding tools for interactive presentations.
  • Work on projects of varying length and complexity in an agile manner with work prioritization and deadlines.
  • Automate data pipelines and orchestrate workflows.
  • Leverage and advance robust data architecture and cloud‑based technology stack to support production‑level work.
  • Partner with multi‑functional teams.
  • Keep up to date to apply latest technology trends in the areas of data technology and artificial intelligence, including generative AI.
  • Adhere to and leverage procedures and standards as applicable.
  • Ensure that all generative AI output adheres to rules and guidelines defined by legal, compliance and IT.

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a STEM field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with a distributed team, innovate, and commit to common goals and achievements.
  • Familiarity with large language models and generative AI concepts (LLMs, tokenization, prompt‑response behavior).
  • Practical experience calling LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) and integrating responses into applications.
  • Basic understanding of agentic architectures: planners, action executors, tool use, memory components, and feedback loops.
  • Hands‑on experience building simple agent workflows or prototypes using an agent framework (e.g., Lang Chain, Llama Index, Haystack) or equivalent libraries.
  • Competence in prompt engineering for multi‑step tasks and chaining prompts to implement simple planning/execution logic.
  • Awareness of common failure modes for agents (hallucination, looped behavior, unsafe actions) and strategies to mitigate them (validation checks, guardrails).
  • Knowledge of big data, data pipelining, machine learning, intermediate level of software development and automation skills.
  • Ability to connect and partner with various team members (multi‑functional) to identify their needs and drive adoption of the solutions.
  • Experience in handling compliance consistency, risk management and stakeholder commitments in large organizations.
  • Strong Python skills with experience and aspiration to learn LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks, and generative AI patterns.
