We’re seeking a dedicated, hands‑on professional to join our team as a Regional Robot Service Lead at an innovative autonomous vehicle company.

This role places you at the center of our mission, where you’ll oversee and coordinate robot service operations across multiple sites in New Jersey, ensuring high uptime, consistent maintenance, and safe, efficient operations. Responsibilities & Daily Expectations

Your role is multifaceted, focused on keeping our robotic fleet operational, safe, and efficient. Daily activities include:

  • Leading and coordinating day‑to‑day robot service and maintenance operations across multiple sites in New Jersey.

  • Ensuring consistent service quality, safety compliance, and operational uptime at all locations.

  • Managing, training, and supporting service technicians and site leads, setting clear expectations and standards.

  • Developing and optimizing service workflows, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Troubleshooting complex mechanical and electromechanical issues as needed, providing hands‑on support.

  • Coordinating parts inventory, tooling, and equipment readiness across sites.

  • Serving as the primary regional point of contact for robot service operations.

  • Traveling frequently between sites to provide on‑site leadership, audits, and operational support.

  • Partnering with central operations, engineering, and safety teams to implement process improvements and technical updates.

  • Tracking key performance metrics and providing regular reporting on service health, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications for Success

This full‑time, ongoing contract role is based in Jersey City, NJ, and requires frequent regional travel. To excel in this role, candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in mechanical service environments (automotive, fleet maintenance, industrial equipment, robotics, or similar).

  • 3 years’ experience managing technicians or service teams; overseeing multiple locations is strongly preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset.

  • Comfortable working in dynamic, field‑based environments with frequent travel.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced vehicle technologies.

  • Experience in structured environments or fast‑paced technical operations.

  • Proven ability to develop teams, optimize workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
