Senior Corporate Accountant - Hybrid

Fortune 500 company is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to their Accounting Department due to a recent promotion. This is an opportunity to work cross functionally within Accounting and Finance to include financial reporting, technical accounting, month end close, consolidations, financial analysis and much more. • Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting including general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist with SEC financial reporting requirements, including preparation and review of 10-Q/K financial statements and disclosures, earnings releases, and other filings.
• Develops forecasts using multiple assumptions
• Improves internal, and ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
• Coordinates quarterly dividend payable with the Treasury Department
• Prepare journal entries for monthly close
• Prepares month-end reports, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and required items for financial close to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to defined standards.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
• Assists with accounting-related projects and accounting research on an as-needed basis
• Records quarterly employee stock purchase plan transactions
• Maintain clear communication paths with stakeholders
• Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs

• 2+ years of experience in accounting (Big 4 experience preferred)
• Education:
  
  Requires Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• CPA highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of and ability to learn and apply technical accounting concepts in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
• Public accounting experience highly preferred, but not required
• Experience with SAP and Oracle Financial Management preferred.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and escalat...ions issues
