We offer one‑on‑one tutoring, translating, interpreting, speech and occupational therapy, reading specialists, psycho‑educational testing, and test prep for the SAT & ACT. We are seeking a part‑time, in‑person High School English Tutor to provide one‑on‑one or small‑group instruction during day‑time or evening hours, depending on availability.

  Flexible; support for less than 10 hours per week between 8 AM–3 PM and/or 3:30 PM–7:30 PM, as available
• Travel:
  Tutor may travel between schools, libraries, and other community locations

• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring instruction in high school English in school or library settings
• Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles
• Use creative, hands‑on approaches to engage students and make the subject relevant
• Maintain accurate documentation of student sessions and progress
• Communicate with parents and teachers as needed
• Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences

• Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience with high‑school‑aged students in English (literature, reading, writing, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level
• Ability to manage students in a group setting
• Ability to travel to different locations in New Castle County (schools, libraries, etc.)
