Key
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (active and in good standing)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Understanding of various learning differences and individualized education planning (IEP) processes
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Collaborative, compassionate, and flexible approach to teaching
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring accommodations and modifications are in place
- Provide direct instruction tailored to student learning styles and abilities
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for student progress and compliance
- Communicate regularly and constructively with parents and guardians
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials for accessibility
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
