Overview

Openings as of 7/19/2026 for SY 26-27 - Assistant Principal - Elementary in the Red Clay Consolidated School District. Position reports to the building principal and serves as an instructional leader for staff, students, and the community.

• Work cooperatively with staff and the community to design and implement a curriculum aligned with state and district standards.
• Collaborate with school and district personnel to establish and implement inclusive practices in school programs.
• Conduct classroom observations and DPAS performance appraisals.
• Establish conditions that promote effective use of available resources.
• Assist with planning, supervising, and directing the business operation of the school, including development and administration of the school budget.
• Develop and sustain a program of public relations to foster understanding and support from the community, local groups, and individuals.
• Develop school plans and procedures for health, safety, discipline, and conduct of pupils as established by district procedures.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

• Must be eligible to hold State of Delaware Principal/Assistant Principal Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated successful leadership experience within an organization.
• Understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Strong knowledge and experience with the IEP process.
• Experience with positive behavior supports and Behavior Support Plans.
